Each performance will feature a different story and showtimes vary per day. Reserve your tickets today at: thedairy.org

Two Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are chasing Jorge, bumping his car to prevent him from reaching the Catholic church. Jorge takes a sharp right into the church parking lot. The agents slam on the breaks. ICE does not enter a church. It is a line they don't want to or can’t cross.

Ded is an Albanian immigrant wanted by ICE. He lives in sanctuary. He chose sanctuary because he’s the sole caretaker of his wife who has Multiple Sclerosis and is confined to a wheelchair. He can’t allow himself to be deported, otherwise who will take care of his wife? He won’t leave her. He will not cross that line.

What lines are you willing to cross? Join Motus for an experiment in improvisational theater, community reflection and strategies for sharing stories of sanctuary. Together, we’ll collaborate to discover how we can be part of the solution to a human rights crisis. Each night a different story and a different challenge.

Collaborating Artists: West Coast improv artist Victor Warring; Playback Theatre West's Sam Elmore; violinist Anthony Salvo; UndocuArtists Laura Peniche & Alejandro Fuentes-Mena; poet and sanctuary leader, Rosa Sabido; special guests; and YOU! Exploration created by Motus Theater’s artistic director, Kirsten Wilson, based on interviews and photos of award-winning photojournalist Joel Dyer.
