Internationally renowned American violinist, mezzo-soprano, and transgender activist Tona Brown will present musical responses to each monologue.

Join us for the premiere of Motus Theater’s TRANSformative Stories featuring musician Tona Brown. In this Motus premier, transgender and non-binary leaders perform artfully crafted personal stories about their hopes, dreams, and experiences of negotiating oppression and liberation. Internationally renowned American violinist, mezzo-soprano, Tona Brown presents musical responses to each monologue. Tona is celebrated as the first transgender woman to perform at Carnegie Hall. She was also the first African American transgender woman to perform for an American president.

Join together as a community as we celebrate the humanity, joy, and gifts of gender diverse leaders who are on the frontlines of dehumanizing rhetoric and policies. Two unique performances:
