Motus Theater’s UndocuMonologues: Family Friendly Performance

January 21 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Motus Theater presents the national premiere of  UndocuMonologues at the Gordon Gamm Theater at the Dairy Arts Center.

Free & Open to the Public: Family Friendly Performance sponsored by the Boulder Human Relations Commission featuring: Kiara Chavez, Juan Juarez, Armando Peniche, Irving Reza & Reydesel Salvidrez Rodriguez. Musical performance by Teresita Lozano, the voice of the 2019 gubernatorial inauguration.

This event does not require a ticket; seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

At this event, you can expect to hear a variety of voices intertwined with beautiful singing by Teresita Lozano, and the artwork of UndocuArtist and Activist Julio Salgado, creating a multi-sensory experience that you will never forget.

Motus Theater’s UndocuAmerica interrupts the dehumanizing portrayals of immigrants by encouraging thoughtful engagement on the challenges facing the undocumented community and the assets immigrants bring to our country. Motus worked with ten undocumented leaders to help them write powerful stories about their lives. Stories told are on a variety of themes, such as: the pain of being categorized as a criminal; losing family to deportation; the challenge of attending college without documentation; and being rejected by the country in which you were raised.

Join the movement! Listen to the life stories of DACAmented leaders in our community and learn about their hopes, fears, and about the assets they bring to our country.
